This class is about mindfulness through body movement to cultivate calmness in the mind. Start with standing postures to mobilize and warm the spine and to build fire and prana. Spine mobility and breathing calm will allow you time to feel your body responding to the release of fatigue, tension or stagnation and opening joints for more spaciousness.

Classic Sun Salutations will build into more dynamic hip opening asana. Close with ‘leg’s up the wall’ inversion with the sacrum balanced on a block. Allow the release of tension in the legs to flush fresh blood into the glands in the jaw, activating a fresh awakening of the mind.

Made Murni

Made Murni is a Balinese born and raised, Yoga Teacher at The Yoga Barn who like the island of Bali, has over time come to blend age old traditions and philosophies of yogic practice with her native spiritual Hindu beliefs. As a role model and leading female Balinese yoga teacher her unique energy and ability to express the depth of her connection to her beloved island expands the hearts and minds of her students. Her story offers an intrinsically woven tale that is representative of how Yoga in Bali and the influence of the native Hindu culture can be the turn key that’s starts many on a deeper spiritual path.
