Amit warmly welcomes you to class with a relaxing and releasing breath to settle you into meditation. Left palm up, right palm down you will observe the space in between the breath and have the opportunity to refine your alignment, body scanning to deeper awareness of conscious relaxation. You will practice the Breath of Fire (Kapalabhati Pranayama) and then slowly move your internal focus throughout the midline before gently starting practice. 

This class will create space through the spine, hips and legs with a variety of deep forward folds and gentle twists.

Meet the instructor

Amit Miglani

Amit has a zest for living life with joy, love, and wonder. Born into a family where bhakti yoga is a daily ritual, yoga has always been a strong influence in his life. After sustaining injuries from a collision with a motorcycle, he resorted to yogic practice as a natural path to recovery and a means to strengthen his mind, focus and awareness. The therapeutic benefits and healing power of yoga inspired him to leave his corporate career in NYC and pursue advanced training in Ashtanga, Hatha, Iyengar and Pranayama in Rishikesh, India. Amit has studied various modalities of yoga and focuses his personal practice on kriya yoga and meditation, as taught by Swami Satyananda Saraswati. He is a Yoga Alliance RYT-500 certified instructor and a Reiki Grand Master.
