Dalam kelas 45 menit ini, kami memperkenalkan asana (pose) dasar dalam yoga, yakni posisi berdiri, beserta alat bantu yang biasa digunakan di studio-studio yoga. Dari sudut pandang tradisional, Hatha Yoga memang lebih memfokuskan pada nafas daripada pose. Namun, memahami pergerakan tubuh juga dianjurkan sehingga kita dapat menghindarkan diri dari cidera. Rangkaian pengenalan akan ditutup dengan Surya Namaskar. Surya Namaskar atau Sun Salutation adalah rangkaian gerakan yoga yang mengalir bertujuan untuk menjaga stamina, keseimbangan dan focus. Rangkaian ini sering dilakukan di pagi hari untuk menyerap energi murni matahari dan menyegarkan tubuh serta pikiran.

Meet the instructor

Thofan Meninao

Thofan was introduced to yoga at The Yoga Barn in 2015 with Emily Kuser’s 200 hour High Vibe Yoga YTT. There he fell in love with the practice and saw yoga as a lifestyle he wanted to adopt. He learnt from many teachers such as Mark Whitwell, Bex Tyrer, Tina Nance, Mei Lai Swan, Balsundra Srinatha and many more. Since 2018, he has been teaching yoga with a focus on the practice of mindfulness.
